Irish Organizations

• Bell School of Irish Dance
  The Bell School of Irish Dance offers weekly traditional Irish dance classes for young boys and girls ages five and up to and including adults. It has locations in the North Hills and in Greensburg.
• Burke School of Irish Dance
  Certified by the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland, the Burke School of Irish Dance provides instruction in traditional Irish Step Dancing at weekly lessons held at the Irish Centre of Pittsburgh in Squirrel Hill. Classes are offered for boys and girls, ages 5 and up, and teenagers.
• Gaelic League, Pittsburgh Branch
  The Gaelic League is a nonprofit organization that sponsors classes and works to promote an appreciation of the beauty, culture and historical significance of the Irish Language.
• Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh
  The Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh’s mission is to promote mutual understanding of the Catholic and Protestant traditions in Northern Ireland and economic development throughout all of Ireland.
• Irish Centre of Pittsburgh
  Describes all events, classes, and performances at the Irish Centre as well as links and events to all local irish organizations.
• Irish Design Center
  Located on South Craig Street in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, the Irish Design Center is a great place to find beautiful, high quality gifts from Avoca Handweavers, Nicholas Mosse Pottery, Muckross Weavers, and others.
• Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre, Inc.
  dedicated to producing high quality Irish, English and classical works.
• Pittsburgh Irish Festival, Inc.
  a non-profit corporation created to contribute to the rich cultural awareness of Irish history and tradition that exists in Pittsburgh. In addition to their 3-day "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Festival," the Pittsburgh Irish Festival has expanded into a year-round resource for education and cultural programs through the creation of the Irish Education Outreach Program.

  A site to promote the rich cultural heritage of Pittsburgh Irish people to visitors and residents.
  • St. Patrick's Day Parade
    The Pittsburgh Irish Society for Education & Charity sponsors the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade and is a service organization to the Pittsburgh Irish community.
• Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance
  The Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance offers certified instruction in traditional Irish stepdancing to children & teens, including a Tir na Nog, or creative movement class, for pre-schoolers from the age of 4 years. Classes are held weekly in Dormont and in Johnstown, PA. The Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance is sanctioned by An Coimisiun le Rince na Gaelacha, Dublin Ireland.

  A new chain restaurant in South Side Works serving some Irish dishes and drinks, including Guinness stout, corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, beef and Guinness stew, shepherd's pie, bangers and mash.
• Finnigan's Wake Irish Pub
  Pittsburgh's largest Irish Pub, located on the Northside.
• Molly Brannigans Traditional Irish Pub and Restaurant
  Located in Mt. Lebanon, Molly Brannigans offers some traditional Irish dishes like fish and chips, Guinness stew, corned beef, mixed grill, boxty, bangers and mash.
• Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle Irish Pub
  The Harp and Fiddle Irish Pub offers traditional Irish specialties such as Corned Beef & Cabbage, Irish Stew, Shepherd's Pie, Cottage Pie, Fish & Chips, George Bernard Shaw Platter (vegetarian), Bangers & Rashers With Mash, and Ploughman's Platter.
